Rehabilitation is a process or care or the action of restoring one’s health or capabilities that has been affected, to its former condition. This includes physical, mental and cognitive abilities. Diseases, injury or after effect of a treatment or procedure could be the reason for losing thiscapability. Rehabilitation will improve the quality of one’s life. Ayurvedic therapies and medicines are very effective in rehabilitating the loco-motor system and nervous system. Any disability due to degenerative conditions of the central nervous system can also be rehabilitated with good results.

In Nagarjuna, for better results, we offer rehabilitation program integrated with physiotherapy. Rehabilitation is usually required in conditions like post stroke, post trauma, post brain injury, post-surgical stiffness, general stiffness after removal cast in fractures, muscular dystrophy, cerebral atrophy, multiple sclerosis, parkinsonism, Parkinson’s disease and other conditions

The course of rehabilitation program could extend from 21 to 28 days dependingupon the condition. If the patient is on some other regular medication, they will be allowed to continue those. The Nagarjuna rehabilitation program has specific combination of internal medicines based on the disease condition of the patient. Specific therapies to relax the muscles, reduce stiffness, hyper tonicity of muscles, muscle spasm, pain and numbness. Treatments to improve the range of movements, muscle bulk, power and to prevent muscle wastage are done according to the condition.
